The Easiest Way to Make Any Gift Feel Extra Special

Tags:

I love finding simple ways to make a gift feel extra special. It doesn’t have to take a ton of time or money—just a few little touches can add so much magic and personalization! ✨

This is one of my go-to wrapping hacks, and it’s perfect for birthdays, holidays, teacher gifts, or really any occasion. Here’s what I use and some easy ideas you can try the next time you’re wrapping up a gift:

My Favorite Supplies

  • Kraft Paper – I always keep a roll of brown kraft paper on hand. It’s simple, classic, and works for literally any occasion. If you’re feeling a little extra, I love these colorful ones too!

  • Kraft Gift Bags – If you’re wrapping something a little awkward (looking at you, stuffed animals and water bottles 😂), a gift bag is definitely the way to go.

  • White Paint Marker – This chalk paint marker is my absolute favorite for doodling, lettering, or writing names directly on the bag or wrapping paper. If you want to play with colors, these paint markers are another fun option!

  • Ribbon – Totally optional, but I’ll never say no to a velvet ribbon moment. It instantly makes things look luxe without much effort at all.

Easy Ideas to Try

Once you’ve got your supplies, here are a few fun ways to use them:

  • Start with writing the recipient's name and message on the front!

  • Add doodles in the negative space around the text —stars, hearts, flowers, or even little books if you’re gifting to a reader.

  • Mix and match kraft paper with a velvet bow for a cozy, minimalist vibe.

  • Layer colorful markers for a playful, fun look.

That’s it! Super simple, but it makes the gift feel like you went the extra mile. I’ll drop links to my favorite supplies below, and you can peek at the photos for inspiration.

Happy wrapping, friends!
